Welcome to my art page. I have met many of you at Art shows and wish to thank you for keeping me painting. Even if you don't buy, I appreciate the comments and interest in my work. It's what makes art gratifying and inspiring. I paint from a point of view that our forms (outer shells) or body image is what we wish to represent us, and yet we are quite vulnerable inside. Our inner reality is what we protect and feel naked when it is exposed. I paint these inner realities and the outer coverings (forms) are not treated with any great care except to expose some of the character inner elements. In fact, it is you (the viewer) that see's this. It is you that makes the connection according to your own perspective. My work is mostly viewed at Art shows (see Schedule) because I love meeting you and my perspective art patrons. I feel better knowing that my subjects (all have names), will be in good homes.
I make up prints of the originals and go over them with color for extra enhancement and long value.

Prints are in mattes ready for framing and vary in price according to the time it takes to prepare them. Some are more intricate than others.
MATTED PRINTS are available in white of black 11" x 14" $30 and 16" x 20" $45. They are hand finished with color for more intensity.

Clara. Painted on 200 cold press paper with acrylics in Jan 26,2012. It depicts as usual, my whimsical ladies. I place hats on them as to not make a statement with hair. They are all of another time and place and yet, very much like today. The women have large shoulders as I have come to know they are stronger and more nurturing than men. They handle pain better. Clara is 28 x 32 inches and framed is 32 x 40 inches. $600. Prints and note cards are available.
Sketch series 1 "Jackie". I intended to paint a line painting showing the humanisim in simple tasks. Seldom do we give much thought to the intrinsic nature of who we are. We are idle in daily chores and grooming unaware of why we are here. Thoughts may overlape and yet we play out our script of life. This painting is available in original 8 x 10 $75 and prints $31

Chicken 1. Derbyshire/Dorkin mix. Nearly a third of chicken breeds are at risk of extinction. See more info on chickens by clicking on image. Care of my original paintings. They are painted on cold press paper which is a porous fiber. When shipped they may be concave and not lay flat. Simply spray a mist of water front and back with spray bottle and lay flat. It will dry flat. I like them framed in a floating fashion so they not be in contact with glass. They will last your life time to be enjoyed by you and later, your children and grandchildren. They belong in good homes for they are all special full with emotion. Luis
